I would have formally re-applied. I have since given up finding a new home. My journies have taken me far and wide, both sides of the Luxon/Kurzick divide.
I've seen guilds fall apart, and several lose their heart. This has all brought me back to you.

I understand if you do not let me in. I am more so curious as to how the guild and the alliance fair.
If you would have me back, may I press my luck and ask if I could bring a friend.

We both took a few weeks out of game and came back to the guild being all but disband.
When I left, I left because my active times and level did not match that of the guild and alliance and I felt it unfair to both of us for me to be sitting on the roster. I am hoping that has now changed.

Please consider my request, and either way do tell how the guild is doing. There are a good number of you that I have neglected and missed.

Hi Xan!

Good to hear from you! The SoF alliance is still here and hanging tight but we too have had a significant drop in activity since you left. However, there are still a few of us who are actively playing GW, and just recently we have managed to get groups together almost weekly for UW clears or other events (this weekend they are heading to FoW). So, overall I think we are fine and at least staying in a holding pattern until GW2, when we hope to see many of our old guild- and alliance-mates return from their forays into other games (WoW and Dragon Age seem to be the most popular diversions lately).

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with finding an active guild, but I'm not surprised. This attrition is happening all over the GW world now considering the age of the game and the lack of significant new content or updates. As I said, the SoF alliance is not exempt from this either, and activity here is still very low. Considering this, and the fact that you left due to alliance inactivity before, are you still interested in returning to the alliance now?

If so, please do let us know, and if you could also let us know what your current activity level is like (how often do play and at which times of day?) then we could also let you know how that matches up with our current players' active times, as well. If you come back to SoF, we certainly would not want you to come back in with expectations of our activity level that are not realistic.

I was not expecting the active levels to have changed much since when I left. I guess I did not make my intentions very clear. I've given into the fact that GW is a dying community. However it does appear that SoF as a community has and will surpass this.

I work from 11pm to 7am CST, so my gaming hours very from day to day as I do have two little ones (one at home, one at school). I am usually on for an hour or two in the morning around 9am-11am, then again at night anywhere from as early as 5pm up till I leave around 9:30pm. My days off are still in the middle of the week (Tues/Weds now).
I haven't changed my habits of play much, I'm still a light PvE player with characters all over the board. I'm usually up for anything and claim expert at nothing. My monk Xan still holds over half of my hours logged, the biggest change is he has since bought pants (Asuran).

I really just want back into a community I can enjoy being part of and continue on with when GW2 comes out.
